Our Story

South Quay College (SQC) was established in 2012 as an Alternative Provision (AP) in partnership with east London charity City Gateway, to increase the number of young people who could gain the skills they needed to enter sustained employment.

From September 2018, we have decided to proceed on a solo venture and have since split from City Gateway. We continue to provide AP and vocational courses to young people aged 14-19 within Tower Hamlets and surrounding boroughs. Our training team support learners every step of the way to progress and give them the best possible chance to succeed.

It should be noted that City Gateway, established in 1999, continues to work closely with SQC, providing progression routes to many learners including apprenticeships in major firms in London for those aged 19+.
