ACE: Inspiration Evening
Students from KS5 who attended our Inspiration Evening on Thursday 16th November were part of worldwide celebrations for Global Entrepreneurship Week. They had the opportunity to hear from a group of outstanding speakers and to network with entrepreneurs and leaders in industries ranging from business to media, sport and digital technology.
In the interval, a networking challenge gave students the chance to meet the speakers and invited guests and find out more about their personal experiences.
Many thanks to each of our speakers and guests who gave their time generously to support our students and offer their wisdom. We are also extremely grateful to Jim Buddy’s, whose high protein donuts have made waves in the health and fitness world, for sponsoring the evening.

What the speakers thought:
Once again I have come to share something with the students at South Quay College and left inspired by their drive, vision, tenacity and passion. The panel spoke from the heart and shared truths about the world of enterprise that you will seldom hear in a classroom. More power to Martin and his fantastic team for having the passion and conviction to bring this event to life. I am sure it will pay dividends moving forwards!

What the students thought:
- I had an amazing time! [They said] “You will make mistakes along the way.” David blew my mind!
- It was good to hear someone say “Do what you enjoy and see what happens’ - that you don’t have to know what you are doing in five years’ time.’
- It was very inspirational, very interactive. Next time I would like to see even more sectors represented.
- It was very inspirational and fun. [on being part of the logistics] Once you actually get up and do it, it’s fun.
